International Biscuit Fest

Last weekend was the International Biscuit Fest, here in Knoxville. What a busy week! This was Cruze Farm Girl Ayaka's first week working at the farm. Ayaka is from Hokkaido, Japan. She has only been here one week, but we all are starting to hear a southern accent develop and she has tried buttermilk, grits, biscuits and gravy! :)

Ayaka learned to make Buttermilk Biscuits which she, Stephanie and Amber have all mastered the art! She also learned how to scoop Ice Cream for 1,000 people. "Bless her heart" (which is one of the phrases we have taught Ayaka) is exactly what we said at the end of Saturday. Just look at her apron which is proof of the Hard Work.

 All the girls worked very hard Saturday at Market Square: Jaanki, Jennifer, Jill, Stephanie, Amber, Frances, Emily, Ayaka and me (Colleen). Thanks Knoxville for the wonderful day! Please come see us every Saturday 9am-2pm and let us serve you a Hot Biscuit, a cold glass of Churned Buttermilk or Cream top milk and a homemade Buttermilk Waffle Cone of Riverdale Blackberry Ice Cream!
